WELL, I always LOVE it when a long shot (50 to 1) Mine That Bird wins. Hot Damn! American jockey.....talking about his mama and daddy. He only cost $9,500.00. He was driven to Kentucky in a pick up truck. Every horse has a story, but this one is great! NEVER bet on the favorite in the Derby.

With all the favorites being scratched, this race was a great time to wheel the two or three favorites on top and bottom in a perfecta. It paid over $2,000 !
Borel rode a good race and Mine That Bird closed like a bandit.

I've no idea about racing, but helped care for a choice Tennessee Walker growing up - mucked the stalls in return got to ride her. What memories.
My Mom always buys win tickets across the board and about every three to four years this happens. It makes her very happy!
